On 16 June 2025, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Luxembourg, and Mr. Pathompong Singthong, Counsellor, met with Mr. Rit Sayamanon, Deputy Director-General, the Fiscal Policy Office, and his team, at the Ministry of Finance of Thailand. Both sides discussed about the government’s policy to promote Thailand as a financial centre in ASEAN under the draft Financial Hub Act as well as the potential areas of cooperation with Luxembourg in advancing the implementation of such Act, including through exchange of best practices, and promoting Thailand as financial destination for European investors/issuers. Currently, the drafting of MoU on Financial Cooperation between Thailand and Luxembourg is underway.
