Divorce Certificate

The Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels may issue divorce certificates to Thai citizens who reside in Belgium & Luxembourg

• The divorce must be by mutual consent.

Required documents for divorce registration :

• • Divorce Registration Form
  • Divorce settlement agreement
  • Original marriage certificate which has an official seal from the district office in Thailand (if it is not available, you must request a copy with the official seal first)
  • Thai national ID card and/or valid passport (of both spouses) (Original plus 1 copy)
  • Thai house registration which has the 13-digit ID number of the individual applying (1 copy)
  • Belgian or Luxembourg ID Card.

Two witnesses for divorce registration must submit:

1. • Thai identification cards (for Thai nationals)
   • ID card or passport (for other nationals)

Fees

There are no fees associated with applying for a divorce certificate

Processing

• Prepare all of the necessary documents.
• Make an appointment with the Royal Thai Embassy via: [email protected]
• Wait for a confirmation of the appointment from the Royal Thai Embassy staff.
• On the day of appointment/issuance of the divorce certificate, both parties that make up the couple as well as their witnesses must come to the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels at the time and date determined by the staff and present the original copies of the required documents. The couple shall receive their divorce certificate on the same day.
