The Embassy organised the Team Thailand Meeting
On 14 June 2024, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, chaired the 4/2024 Team Thailand Meeting in hybrid format. Participants included Heads and officials of Team Thailand Offices namely Office of Agricultural Affairs in Brussels; Office of Commercial Affairs in Brussels; Office of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation in Brussels; the Office of Customs Affairs in Brussels; Office of Commercial Affairs in The Hague; Board of Investment (BOI) Representative Office in Frankfurt; Office of Industrial Affairs in Vienna; Tourism Authority of Thailand in Paris; and Embassy diplomats.
The Meeting discussed recent activities under each Team Thailand Office's purview and was briefed on current developments including the results of the general elections in Belgium and the European Parliamentary elections and its implications for Thailand. The Meeting also exchanged views on ways to implement joint projects and activities on trade and investment, facilitating access and market promotion for Thai agricultural products and Thai food, customs cooperation, cooperation on science, technology and innovation as well as cultural and tourism promotion, given the fact that Thai Airways will resume its direct flight between Bangkok and Brussels in December 2024.
