Thailand and EU began the 3rd round of FTA negotiations
On 17 June 2024, the 3rd round of Thailand-EU FTA negotiations began in Brussels, following the 2nd round held in Bangkok during 22 - 26 January 2024. The negotiations will last the whole week during 17 – 21 June 2024. Ms. Chotima Iemsawasdikul, Director-General of the Department of Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, and Mr. Christophe Kiener, Deputy Director-General, Directorate-General for Trade (DG Trade), European Commission, led the two delegations. Both affirmed the importance of the FTA for both sides and their determination to expedite negotiations for mutual benefits of Thailand and the EU.
