On 10 March 2025, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, led Team Thailand in a meeting with Mr. Dominique Vanderhaeghen, Senior Deputy Director, Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) Flanders Investment & Trade - FIT and his team. Both sides exchanged views and information on trade and investment opportunities between the two sides in Thailand as a gateway to ASEAN/Asia and in Flanders as a gateway to Europe, and identified potential sectors for investment such as digital, environment, food and agriculture, high-tech, R&D, and logistics. During 12-14 March, 31 Flemish companies are attending the VIVAsia Trade Fair and Exhibition in Bangkok. Also next week, Mr. Werapong Prapha, Thai Trade Representative, will be in Brussels for a working visit and he will meet with Mr. Piet Demunter, COO/Acting CEO of FIT.
