On 4 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Sek Wannamethee, Ambassador and Head of Mission of Thailand to the European Union (EU), met with Dr. Kaveechatt Silapapiphat, Chairman of RAOT’s Board of Directors and delegation, which also comprised Mr. Werawat Yomchinda and Mr. Samroeng Sangphuwong, Board of Directors of Directors of RAOT, as well as Mr. Nakorn Tangavirapat, Governor of the RAOT, at the Royal Thai Embassy. Ms. Warunee Pankrajang, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Pornthep Srisanatorn, Minister and Head of the Office of Agricultural Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, as well as Embassy diplomats participated in the discussion. The Ambassador and delegation exchanged views on recent developments regarding the adoption of on EU Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR). They discussed ways to work together to develop systematic and comprehensive EU guidelines by sharing the best practices of Thai standards, quality control, and inspection of Thai exports of rubber and products to the EU market for the benefit of Thai rubber consumers and producers for sustainable development.
