Ambassador met with the Director of GIZ Representation in Brussels
On 10 June 2024, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, and her team met with Mr. Reinhold Elges, Director of GIZ Representation in Brussels, and his team, to discuss continued collaboration on sustainable development and green transition. In September 2023, GIZ Thailand and the Embassy collaborated on a knowledge exchange workshop between Thai and EU experts on circular economy.
The two sides discussed ways to expand collaboration on climate action and green energy under GIZ’s strategic climate partnership with Thailand. They also discussed GIZ’s role in enhancing understanding on EU legislations and regulations, as well as support for capacity building on environmental standards for third countries and public-private partnership towards green transition.
Mr. Elges was former GIZ Country Director for Thailand from August 2020 to April 2024.
