On 30 March 2026, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to the European Union and the current Chair of the ASEAN Brussels Committee (ABC), together with Ambassadors, Chargés d'affaires, and representatives of Embassies of ASEAN Member States in Brussels, hosted a farewell lunch for Ms. Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service (EEAS), upon her retirement.

 

The lunch served as a tribute to Ms. Pampaloni’s distinguished career and to her pivotal role as a steadfast partner in overseeing and advancing the partnership between the EU and ASEAN, both at the bilateral and ASEAN – EU regional levels, throughout her tenure.

 

The ABC wishes extend our heartfelt gratitude for her professionalism, friendship, and dedication to cooperation and wishes her a wonderful and well-deserved retirement.
