On 25 August 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels organised the Amazing Thailand Networking Reception at the Thai Residence to promote Thai tourism, food and culture. More than 90 guests participated in the event, including diplomatic corp, EU and Belgian agencies, Belgian tour operators and ticket agents as well as Team Thailand officials.
On this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand, gave welcoming remarks highlighting potential of travellers from Benelux countries. In 2023, more than 85,000 Belgian travellers went to Thailand. With the resumption of Thai Airways International’s direct flight Bangkok-Brussels and the new visa measures where Belgians, along with other EU countries, can stay in Thailand visa-free for 60 days, it is our hope to bring more foreign travellers to Thailand.
           The Embassy had a pleasure of having delegation from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), from Bangkok and Paris Office, who participated in the I Love Thailand Festival Bredene 2024 on 24 August 2024 and brought from Bangkok contemporary performances by Human Puppet HCU Team from Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, art workshop demonstration and Thai gastronomy miniature display as well as provided information about Thai tourism. The participants also got to taste popular Thai dishes prepared by the Chef of the Thai Residence.
