The Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels organised volunteering activity in honour of His Majesty the King Rama X of Thailand on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28th July 2024
On 26 June 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels and the offices of Team Thailand in Brussels together with Wat Thai Dhammaram, Thai communities in Belgium and Thai Café restaurant organised a volunteering activity on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28th July 2024 at the social canteen of RestO & Compagnie, a non-profit organisation in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium (address: Place du Môle 11, Braine-l'Alleud), by providing Thai food as lunch for around 50 isolated seniors, elderly with low pension, homeless and migrants in the town.
RestO & Compagnie was founded in 2014 as a social canteen of the city of Braine-l’Alleud where lunch is served at low price (3-5 euros) for seniors and homeless. Volunteers of the organisation led by Mr. Eric and Mr. Serge will gather remaining but good quality ingredients from supermarkets in Braine-l’Alleud to cook for those people.
