On 21 June 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels organised a dhamma talk and guided meditation session at the Ambassador’s residence, led by Phra Maha Fookit. The event was attended by 30 people, including officials and their family members of the Embassy and Team Thailand, and Thai nationals living in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The event began with a welcoming introduction of Phra Maha Fookit by Her Excellency Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium and Luxembourg. Phra Maha Fookit then led chanting, walking meditation, and a dhamma discussion in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions, which contributed to a sense of contentment and spiritual rejuvenation.
Phra Maha Fookit was ordained in 2009 at Wat Sunanthavanaram in Kanchanaburi Province, a branch monastery of Wat Nong Pah Pong in Ubon Ratchathani Province, founded by the late Venerable Ajahn Chah. He is currently residing at the Cittaviveka, Chithurst Buddhist Monastery in the United Kingdom, which is the first overseas branch of Wat Nong Pah Pong.
The Royal Thai Embassy expresses its heartfelt appreciation to Phra Maha Fookit for his kindness in leading the session, and to all Thai participants for their sincere interest and active participation. The Embassy looks forward to organising similar activities in the future, as a space for mindfulness and inner peace for the Thai community in Belgium and Luxembourg.

We hope to see you again at the next Dhamma event.
