On 20 February 2026, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, hosted a working lunch in honour of H.E. Mr. William Asselborn, Director for Asia and Oceania, at the Ambassador’s Residence. Heads of Team Thailand offices in Brussels — Customs, Commerce, Agriculture, and the Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation — as well as Mr. Jonathan Broodcoorens, Thailand Desk Officer at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also attended.

 

Both sides followed up on the recent bilateral meeting between the Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs and H.E. Mr. Maxime Prévot, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, as well as the outcomes of the Third Thai–Belgian Political Consultations held last November in Brussels. The two sides also discussed preparations for activities to commemorate the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Belgium in 2028.
