Financial Empowerment Session

On 15 August 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy and Oasis Belgium co-organised a Financial Empowerment Session for 34 participants, mostly Thais, with a view to raising awareness and informing them about their financial rights and financial responsibilities in Belgium in order to avoid financial exploitation at work and within family. H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of financial independence of Thai nationals abroad. She also stressed the Embassy’s readiness to assist and support Thai nationals and to continue to provide them with useful knowledge and skills.

Invited speakers included Mr. Freddy Hoste, Director Certified Tax Accountant, FreHoste Accounting, who talked about how to set up a business and related financial obligations, and Ms. Parichat Sonsiri, Ms. Anyaphat Seneeamornphat, and Mr. Teerawat Pipitkulsri, self-made independent entrepreneurs and yoga instructor who shared their career developments and experiences.

The Embassy thanks Oasis Belgium for co-organising the event, and all participants for their active participation in the session. The Embassy also took the opportunity to make some financial contribution to Oasis Belgium as a token of appreciation.
