On 27 February 2025, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, together with Ambassadors of ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste in Brussels, attended the ASEAN Brussels Committee Meeting 2/2025 chaired by H.E. Mr. Jaime Victor B. Ledda, Ambassador of the Philippines to Belgium. The ABC Ambassadors exchanged views on potential cooperation between ASEAN and Be;glum, Luxembourg, and the European Union.

The ABC Ambassadors also joined the working lunch with Ms. Birgit Stevens, Director-General for Bilateral Affairs, and Mr. François Delhaye, Director for Asia and Oceania, Belgium’s Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ASEAN-Belgium relations, exchanged perspectives on regional and global issues, and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in key areas such as innovation, biopharmaceuticals, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
