On 25 September 2024, the Office of the Tourism of Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Paris, responsible for the Benelux market, organized the Amazing Thailand Exclusive Night, at the Excellis in Brussels, Belgium. The event aims to bring together TAT partners in the Belgian tourism industry, including executives of travel agencies, airline representatives, agents and travel media to explore new tourism potential.
Ambassador Kanchana Patarachoke gave opening remarks stressing Thailand’s readiness to welcome more tourists to Thailand and work with Belgian partners to further promote tourism in Thailand. Many hidden gems/ travel destinations in Thailand are waiting to be experienced. Since 15 July this year, nationals of 93 countries/ territories, including Belgians, can come to Thailand visa-free and stay for 60 days, which can be extended for 30 days. Destination Thailand Visa valid for 5 years, with each stay of 180 days, is also an interesting option.
During Thailand Product Presentation by TAT Paris Office, participants were introduced to new travel routes and presented the Amazing Thailand Awards 2024 to tour companies with quality travel packages in Thailand in 3 areas, namely sustainable tourism, family tourism and adventure, to thank partners who have help to promote Thai tourism in Belgium. TAT also invited Thai cultural performers to perform at the event. The event also promoted direct flights between Bangkok and Brussels, which will start operating on 1st December this year, including a lucky draw for two free round-trip tickets to Thailand with this flight.
