On 19 March 2026, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to the EU, and heads and representative of Team Thailand offices in Brussels, met with Mr. Naroon Sooksmarn, Deputy Director General, Office of Industrial Economics, Ministry of Industry of Thailand, Mr. Panuwat Triyangkulsri, Chairman of Plastics Institute of Thailand (PITH), and their delegations, to discuss the implementation of EUDR in Thailand. Both sides exchanged views on Thailand’s latest preparation in different aspects, including the launch of EUDRThai.com traceability platform, reliability of DDS of Thai economic operators, and DDS inspection procedure of EU member states’ competent authorities. On this occasion, the Office of Industrial Economics conveyed the concerns of Thai entrepreneurs, and reaffirmed its commitment to support Thai businesses and industries in enhancing their understanding of, and compliance with, the requirements of the EUDR. The Office will collaborate closely with relevant Thai authorities concerned, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, as well as with the Federation of Thai Industries and major businesses, to facilitate greater exports of Thai products to the EU.
