On 9 July 2025, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, met with Mr. Andries Gryffroy, the First Vice President of the Belgian Senate and Chairman of the Belgian-Thai Bilateral Section of the Belgian Inter-Parliamentary Union, as well as Mr. Reccino Van Lommel, Member of the Belgian Parliament and Vice President of the Group. Also present were Mrs. Nadariya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, and Mr. Liam Dang Duy, Director of Administration, Department of Public and International Relations, Belgian Parliament.

           Both sides exchanged views on the situations and trends within the countries and in neighboring countries, as well as on the further promotion of Thai-Belgian cooperation at the parliamentary level, which exchanged their latest visits back in 2018, marking the 150th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between Thailand and Belgium. They agreed to work on more exchanges of visits at the parliamentary level in the future. Key issues of mutual interest included the issue of the environment and climate change, including green technology and artificial intelligence; and the issues of immigration and trade regulations.
