On 2 April 2025, the Embassy and the Office of Customs Affairs have arranged a study visit and briefings for the delegation from the Financial and Fiscal Management Programme for Senior Executives organised by the Comptroller General’s Department, Ministry of Finance of Thailand.

During their visit to the World Customs Organization (WCO) World Customs Organization - Organisation Mondiale des Douanes, the delegation learned about the work of the WCO and the roles of customs in today’s global trade as well as of Thai Customs Office in the WCO.

While paying a courtesy call to the Ambassador, the delegation was briefed on the overall political and economic situations of Belgium, in particular the policy of the new government led by PM Bart de Wever and the pension reform. On the European Union affairs, the Embassy highlighted the EU’s policy on boosting competitiveness and the current geopolitical landscape that lead the EU to work more closely with like-minded partners and diversify.
