On 17 February 2026 and 6 March 2026, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, Luxembourg and Head of Mission to the EU chaired the 2/2026 Team Thailand Meeting in hybrid format. The Meeting was attended by Heads or representatives of Team Thailand offices, together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels.

 

The Meeting was briefed on the outcomes of the overseas general election and referendum in Belgium and Luxembourg, updates on Thailand’s Chairmanship of the ASEAN Brussels Committee (ABC) for the first half of 2026, progress on the Thailand-EU FTA negotiations, with a continued commitment to engaging European stakeholders. The Meeting also exchanged views on coordinating Team Thailand’s future activities and initiatives to boost trade, investment, innovation, tourism and culture. Team Thailand remains committed to further strengthening partnerships between Thailand and Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union.
