          On 11 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels organised a seminar titled “Promoting Knowledge on Civil Registration and Legal Matters for the Thai Community” at Barsey by Warwick Hotel in Brussels. The event was also livestreamed on the Embassy’s official Facebook page to reach a wider audience.
          The seminar provided essential information and guidance on Thai civil registration services, Belgian family law applicable to foreigners, and support mechanisms available for Thai nationals experiencing domestic violence. The event featured speakers from the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior; the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; a Belgian lawyer specialising in family and immigration law; and a representative from Oasis Belgium, a non-profit organisation assisting vulnerable groups in Belgium, victims of human trafficking, domestic violence.
The Embassy wishes to extend its sincere thanks to all speakers for sharing their expertise, and to all participants for their keen interest and active involvement. Their presence and engagement contributed greatly to the strengthening of the Thai community in Belgium and Luxembourg.
          This initiative reflects the Royal Thai Government’s commitment to the care and protection of Thai nationals overseas, particularly in the areas of consular assistance and the safeguarding of their rights. The Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels remains dedicated to proactive, inclusive, and accessible consular services and continues to emphasise the importance of the protection and well-being of Thai people abroad in various aspects such as legal matters, civil registration, and personal welfare.
