On 2 December 2024, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union, her spouse and officials as well as staff of the Embassy and Offices of Team Thailand in Brussels, paid homage to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and Thailand’s Father’s Day 5 December 2024, at the Embassy’s chancery.
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great was greatly beloved and revered by Thai people and people around the world. He was best known as “Development King” who sought to improve the livelihood and living conditions of his people across the Kingdom. The Royal projects, initiated by His Majesty including the development of water sources, elimination of opium cultivation and crop substitution, and new theory agriculture, has lifted millions of Thais out of poverty, and until today continue to serve as a beacon guiding Thailand towards more balanced and sustainable development.
