On 26 June 2025, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand, attended the ASEAN Brussels Committee (ABC) meeting, hosted at the Embassy of the Philippines in Brussels. The meeting marked the final session under the chairmanship of the Philippines. During the meeting, the outgoing Chair formally handed over the ABC Chairmanship to the Ambassador of Singapore, who will lead the Committee for the second half of the year.
          The ABC Ambassadors congratulated the Ambassador of the Philippines and his team for their successful and constructive term, which included activities that enhanced ASEAN’s visibility and deepened cooperation with key partners, notably the meeting between ABC Ambassadors and Maroš Šefčovič, the Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, the ABC - COASI (Asia-Oceania Working Party of the Council of the EU) breakfast meeting, the ABC working lunch with Ms. Birgit Stevens, Director-General for Bilateral Affairs of the Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, and the economic field trip to Wallonia. The ABC ambassadors also expressed their support and willingness to work closely with the Ambassador of Singapore in the coming months.
