On 17 November 2024, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, heads of Offices of Team Thailand in Brussels, officers of Team Thailand in Brussels, diplomats of the Embassy, and their families attended Buddhist ceremony on the occasion of Loy Krathong at Wat Dhammaprateep, Mechelen (Muizen), Belgium. Phra Kru Videssutamedhi, the Abbot of Wat Dhammaprateep, presided the ceremony. Temple goers, including Thais and their families and friends from Belgium, the Netherlands and France, also offered alms to the monks and later gathered around the pond to float Kra Thong made of reusable materials.
Various activities at today's event also include variety of Thai foods, drinks and Thai products stalls and Thai cultural performances.
