On 28 May 2024, the Thai cabinet adopted a decision on new visa measures.
93 nationals including Belgian and Luxembourgish will be entitled to visa exemption for the purpose of tourism and short-term business engagements for a period of 60 days instead of 30 days.
The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) will also be introduced for those wishing to work and travel in Thailand at the same time and those participating in activities such as Muay Thai courses, cooking classes, sport training, medical treatment, seminars, music festivals. The DTV will be valid for 5 years with multiple entries and each stay can last up to 180 days. The fee of such visa is 10,000.- baht or around 300.- euros.
Likewise, we have also increased the number of countries and territories who may apply for visa on arrival for tourism purpose for a period of not exceeding 15 days from 19 to 31 countries.
