Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium met with the CEO of ASEANcham EU to promote ASEAN-EU trade and investment
On 28 June 2024, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, together with Mr. Nithi Patarachoke, Chair of Thailand Management Association (TMA), and Ms. Siribhusaya Ungphakorn, Minister for Commerce, met with Mr. Dimitri Duong, CEO of ASEANcham EU, and Mr. Leo Faber, Advisory Board Member of ASEANcham EU. They discussed the role of ASEANcham EU in supporting the entry of ASEAN businesses into the EU market, which includes providing information on doing business in the EU and connecting ASEAN businesses to their counterparts in Europe. In addition, it also aims to serve as a platform for ASEAN businesses to voice their concerns and recommendations to the EU side and EU Member States. The Embassy is keen to support the role of ASEANcham EU to advance ASEAN-EU trade and investment.
ASEANcham EU is the first Chamber of Commerce and Industry of ASEAN businesses in Europe. It was officially registered as a Belgian non-profit organization in May 2022. CPF Europe (Belgium), a Thai leading global food solution provider, was the first company to join in July 2022.
