On 18 April 2024, H.E. Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Ambassador-designate of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Andri Hadi, Ambassador of Indonesia to Belgium, on the occasion of her assumption of duty. Both sides stressed the close ties between Thailand and Indonesia in many areas both at the bilateral and multilateral level especially in the ASEAN framework. They also discussed the work of the ASEAN Brussels Committee.
Both Thailand and Indonesia are currently negotiating Free Trade Agreements with the European Union.
